Oracle Senior Technical Data Load and Talent Management Support Engineer in Hartford, Connecticut

Job Description

The successful candidate will have Technical Skills for HCM Cloud Data Load & Talent Management Technical Support and experience in all or most of the following areas:

• Oracle HCM Cloud Modules:

o Understanding of various HCM modules like Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Absence Management, Time and Labor and Talent Management for issue resolution.

o General knowledge of an employees annual performance ratings, Goals, Check ins, and overall Talent Review

• SQL and PL/SQL:

o Proficiency in SQL for querying databases.

o Basic understanding of PL/SQL for troubleshooting stored procedures and functions.

• Data Loader:

o Strong knowledge with data import and export in HCM Cloud.

o Familiarity with Flat file formats and structures for troubleshooting.

• Data Management Tools:

o Experience with data transformation and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools for support.

o Basic knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) for troubleshooting integration issues.

• XML and JSON:

o Proficiency in XML and JSON for data interchange and issue resolution.

o Ability to read and interpret XML and JSON structures.

• Web Services and APIs:

o Understanding of REST and SOAP web services for integration support.

o Skills in troubleshooting issues related to HCM Cloud web services.

o Hands on experience using REST Client (POSTMAN etc.)

• Excel and CSV:

o Advanced skills in Excel for data manipulation and troubleshooting.

o Understanding of CSV file handling for data import/export support.

• Data Mapping and Transformation:

o Ability to assist with mapping and transforming data between different formats.

• Security and Role Management:

o Knowledge of HCM Cloud security setup, including roles and privileges.

o Understanding of data access controls and policies for support.

• Problem-Solving and Debugging:

o Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting data load and system issues.

o Ability to debug and resolve data discrepancies and errors effectively.

o Ability to troubleshoot Network issues.

• Customer Service Skills:

o Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and resolving their issues.

o Has experience working in a support organization or in a customer service type role

o Experience with a ticketing system. Preferred - My Oracle Support, JIRA

o Capability to work on multiple issues at a time and demonstrates the ability to multitask efficiently.

o Organization and prioritization or daily work and actions.

• SQL , XML PL/SQL:

o Proficiency in SQL for querying databases.

o Basic understanding of PL/SQL for troubleshooting stored procedures and functions.

o Reading XML output

o HCM reports and Analytics

The successful candidate will join the Fusion HCM Support Team. Primarily working in Data Load and supporting Talent Management. They will be responsible for providing excellence in customer service support, track-incidence, diagnosis, replication, troubleshooting, and resolution of complicated and critical cases.

The focus of this position is to provide Customer Service on a technical and functional level and to drive complete and total resolution of each service incident.

Responsibilities

The main role of a Support engineer is to troubleshoot and resolve highly complex techno-functional problems. As part of the support organization, the role may need you to work on weekends and multiple shifts on rotation basis.

Education & Experience: B.S (Computer Science) or equivalent preferred. Other qualifications with adequate experience may be considered.

Functional/Technical Knowledge & Skills:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• HCM product suite experience, which may include HCM implementation or technical HCM Support experience.

• Functional/Technical background in assigned product area (i.e. HCM) and exposure to associated systems and software

• Technical skills in: RDBMS, SQL, PL SQL, XML, Java, J2EE and Oracle ADF, SOA and Web Services

• Understanding of structured SQL statements and how those are executed in the RDBMS (sql/Plsql)

• Ability to read and decipher software Log and Trace files, Web Server Optimization, Server configuration as well as the ability to act upon the finding to determine a problem resolution.

• Experience in filtering and updating complex technical knowledge for use in problem resolution

• Four or more years relevant working experience (3 years’ experience working with HCM Cloud products)

• Must have ability to lead customer meetings.

• Must have ability to lead peer-level discussions for customer issues.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.

7 years experience with Core products or eight years experience with Applications products, BS Computer Science/Management Information Systems/Science/ Engineering/Math/Physics/Chemistry with 3.0 GPA OR (for Applications) proven professional/ technical experience in Oracle HCM / Oracle Cloud HCM modules including experience with Oracle Data Load.

US: Hiring Range: from $21.59 to $60.63 per hour; from $44,900 to $126,100 per annum. May be eligible for equity.
