Job Summary Supports Philanthropic operations, donor engagement, and fundraising goal totaling $19-$22 million at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital (CHH) Hartford Hospital (HH), Hartford HealthCare at Home (HHCAH), and Hartford HealthCare (HHC); through management of and assistance with Annual and Colleague Giving Campaigns, Grateful Patient Programs, and Donor Stewardship and Event Support. Provides operational support through database management, reporting, reconciliation, and research. Job Responsibilities: Role: Programmatic Management of the CHH and HH Annual Campaign, including the HHC Colleague Giving Campaign: • Provides oversight to the HH Annual Campaign goal of $900,000, and CHH Annual Campaign of $60,000. Through direct post mail and email campaign, produces a timely and effective solicitation schedule and backdating of deadlines. Ensures coordination of all aspects of campaign solicitation including the tracking and analysis of financial results, as well as income and expenses of appeals. • Develops and implements strategic plan to grow the annual campaign. Analyzes annual campaign demographics and giving trends to better focus hard-copy, email and face-to-face solicitations. • Maintains a portfolio of 50-100 Annual Giving donors for cultivation and pipeline movement toward Major Gift and/or Planned Giving. • Acts as the CHH, HH, HHCAH and HHC system-support liaison for the Hartford HealthCare Colleague Giving Campaign. • Working with other HHC development offices and Planning & Marketing, creates marketing and solicitation schedule to promote the campaign to staff across the system; creates CHH, HH, HHCAH and HHC-specific marketing plan to solicit internal colleagues. Role: Programmatic Management of the Grateful Patient Program (GPP): • In tandem with the Directors of Philanthropy, develops and implements strategic plan to grow the grateful patient program throughout CHH, HH, HHCAH and HHC. Utilizes GPP referral cards to further clinical and support staff awareness and use to identify new GPP prospects within all the divisions of the hospitals and system institutes. • Manages monthly research screenings of patient lists; conducts more in-depth research of highly rated prospects; notifies Philanthropic Officers of screen results and assists in next steps. • Supports Philanthropy Officers to identify new prospects as they contact, solicit, cultivate, visit and steward grateful patient donors. • Provides support as the liaison to key hospital staff to promote the program and recognize those who champion the GP program. Attends new employee orientation, department huddles, and division staff meetings to consistently promote and educate the staff on the GPP. Role: Donor Stewardship and Event Support at CHH and HH: · Provides Philanthropy-wide event support for donor stewardship events, including CHH 1916 Society, HH 1854 Society, Corporator Annual Meetings, dialogue/salon dinners, and other planned events. · Includes invitation creation, hard-copy and email outreach, coding and tracking invitee and attendees, logistical planning, and post-event follow up. · Supports the logistics for CHH and HH Philanthropic Advancement Committee. · In tandem with the Asst. Director of Community & Philanthropy Relations, provides administrative and outreach management of the Jefferson Washington Society, including identification of new members, EPIC tagging and reporting, annual membership coding and tracking, and select member outreach. Role: Support to the Director of Philanthropy Operations · Provides back up support to month end reporting process to Finance, department-specific monthly reporting, and stock/wire transfer process. · Assists in the yearly gift auditing process; including but not limited to pulling gift reports in Raiser’s Edge, research gift information, and compiling batch paperwork for compliance. · Prepares queries, reports and lists as requested using Raiser’s Edge, Word and Excel.__ · Assists in annual named-fund stewardship reports; compiles financial information into template; creates accompanying cover-letter; assists in the education of constituent relationship managers of report data prior to hard-copy mailing or in-person report delivery. · Bachelor’s Degree, Development training in healthcare philanthropy preferred. · Minimumthree years of experience in non-profit, direct mail fundraising, peer to peer fundraising, or a related field.
