Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is seeking a graduate student for a PhD internship. This internship would be about 10 – 15 hours per week during the fall and spring semester. The student would be part of a human factors research team to support power grid operators by studying their work and the various tools they use in a real world simulated environment. Possible tasks include experimental design assistance, data collection and analysis (both qualitative and quantitative data). This position will give students an opportunity to conduct human factors research in an applied field and build their skills in experimental design and execution.
Candidates must be currently enrolled/matriculated in a PhD program at an accredited college.
Minimum GPA of 3.0 is required.
Data Analysis for human performance.
Strong candidates for this position include currently enrolled Ph.D. psychology students with an interest in human factors or relevant discipline who have completed research methods and statistics courses. In addition, students who have some experience working as a research assistant are desirable.
