Description:
Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center a member of Trinity Health Of New England has an amazing opportunity for a Mental Health Clinician to support the Greater Hartford Family Advocacy Center.
The Mental Health Clinician provides outpatient individual and family therapy to child victims of violence, their non-offending caregivers, and adults of violent crimes. This position seeks to reduce trauma symptoms in individuals who have survived sexual violence, increase areas of resiliency and support in their lives, teach effective coping skills, and increase overall level of daily functioning.
What will you do :
Assessment and treatment of children and families who have experienced sexual abuse and trauma of crimes
Provides coordination of mental health services with all services and programs of the Greater Hartford Family Advocacy Center.
Provides direct service for youth victim programs in a multidisciplinary setting.
participates in community outreach programs
Participates in educational activities of the program.
Maintains expertise in assessment and treatment of trauma and evidence-based trauma practices.
Requirements :
Masters in psychology, social work, or counseling
Current State of CT license, LPC; LCSW; LMFT; LMSW
Three to five years in working with adults and children
Training and experience in evidence-based trauma treatment models for adults/children
Training and experience in family therapy
Skills: Bilingual/bicultural re: Spanish-speaking populations preferred
Highlights
