The creation of the HHC System Support Office recognizes the work of a large and growing group of employees whose responsibilities are continually evolving so that we and our departments now work on behalf of the system as a whole, rather than a single member organization. Position Summary: Key team member of the Finance Budget team with strong Excel and analytical skills. The Finance Budget team is responsible for the coordination and consolidation of the annual HHC system operating and capital budgets and long-range forecasting. This position reports to the Director of Finance for the System Support Office to assist with the annual corporate budget process, monthly reporting with variance analysis, track ongoing changes to labor resources, and support to the department for the consolidation of the system-wide budget and statistical reporting. Position Responsibilities: • Performs statistical, cost and financial analysis of data extracted from various internal sources. • Involved in annual operating budget process including creating budget files to import into budget application, budget training, and creating reports used in approval process. • Prepares the annual distribution of the corporate budget to affiliates • Develops standard templates used for system capital budget to collect specific indicators used for prioritization and planning. • Tracks ongoing changes to labor resources related to staffing replacements, reorganizations, transfers, and approvals of new positions. • Prepares and presents a variety of budgetary, informational and statistical reports and makes recommendations in writing, graphic and oral presentations. • Conduct thorough financial analysis to support key business decisions • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support strategic initiatives • Serves as consultant to all levels of management to provide decision support for initiatives, policies and procedures. • Performs special projects and duties as assigned, including research, forecasting, and exploring viable alternatives. • Assists management in managing both productivity and volumes by providing summary and detailed statistical reports showing resource consumption and unit costs. • Other Duties as assigned Qualifications: Education:Bachelor degree in finance, business, accounting, or related field. Experience: · Minimum two years’ experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or accounting preferred, with a thorough understanding of financial statements, cashflows and ratios, financial analysis and planning, and its role in directing operations and planning future ventures. · Advanced spreadsheet and database development experience along with other PC based applications such asExcel, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint. · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. · Self-motivated and self-directed individual. · Must be able to react and respond to dynamic environment with limited direction. · Knowledge of EPSi / Strata budgeting system, Oracle PeopleSoft, and Epic preferred.
