Description:

Position Purpose

The Community Engagement Outreach Coordinator is responsible for fostering positive relationships between our healthcare system and the community. This role involves planning and executing community outreach programs, managing public relations activities, and collaborating with various stakeholders to promote our clinical services. Works closely with our Strategy team and Physician Liaisons to ensure our community engagement efforts align with our overall strategic goals. Key responsibilities include organizing events, developing outreach materials, and representing the organization at community meetings and events. Also responsible for tracking and reporting on the effectiveness of community engagement initiatives, as well as identifying opportunities for improvement.

What you will do

  • Develop and implement community outreach programs

  • Organize and coordinate community events and activities

  • Build and maintain relationships with community leaders and organizations

  • Collaborate with internal teams to align community engagement efforts with organizational goals

  • Track and report on the effectiveness of community engagement initiatives

  • Respond to community inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner

  • Develop and maintain partnerships with local businesses and organizations

  • Work with Marketing and Communications teams to ensure consistent messaging

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to community groups and stakeholders

  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans for community engagement

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in communications, public relations, or a related field

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in community relations or a similar role including responsibility for developing and implementing outreach programs

  • Knowledge of local community dynamics and issues and familiarity with nonprofit organizations and community-based initiatives is preferred

  • Valid driver’s license
