About the Role

The Associate People Business Partner provides tactical HR support for the PSI Test Center Channel within the Operations department. This role focuses on day-to-day employee needs of salaried and exempt employees. This role is responsible for ensuring smooth People processes across talent management, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and compliance, specifically for the Test Center staff. The Associate People Partner will act as a key point of contact for both employees and managers, to address operational HR challenges and supporting the execution and delivery of the broader People strategy.

This role is US-based in the central time zone and performed remotely, with occasional requirement for domestic travel to our test center sites. The role reports into a Senior People Business Partner and works closely with the Operations leadership team to ensure that HR initiatives align with business objectives.

Role Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily HR operations specific to the Test Center Channel in the US, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall strategy and compliance with US labor laws. Knowledge of California state law is critical.

  • Collaborate with Operations leaders and managers to address employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, grievances, and compliance with employment regulation in a timely manner.

  • Work with the Operations team to help support them on engagement and culture within our Test Center Channel network.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to our management team to help resolve issues regarding people, culture and engagement

  • Act as the first point of contact for all queries from our Test Center Administrators and their management team to ensure our level of service delivered is to the highest standards

  • Support the transformational change projects within the Test Center Channel, focusing on key People initiatives such as recruitment, onboarding, training, compensation, and fostering an inclusive and supportive culture.

  • Partner with the wider People Team to identify and address gaps in People processes for the Test Center Channel, aligning globally where possible.

  • Contribute to the design and execution of onboarding, training, and development programs tailored to Test Center employees.

  • Work with our TCA recruitment team to ensure we hire high quality, retaining and engaging them through the full life cycle

  • Ensure accurate employee data management in the HR Information System (UKG) for the US-based Test Centers.

  • Ensure the timely delivery of HR metrics to the Operations Leadership team, to drive meaningful change and improvements

  • Act as the primary contact for labor counsel and government agencies on employment issues related to US-based Test Centers.

  • Assist with client RFP responses as requested, particularly concerning Test Center operations

  • Ensure that payroll data for Test Center employees is accurate and provided on time to the payroll team

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree in HR Management related field preferred.

  • Previous experience in Human Resources environment essential.

  • Strong experience of managing employee relations cases, end to end is essential.

  • Good experience in managing HR in a high volume environment across multiple field sites e.g. Retail

  • Knowledge of different state labor laws, including specifically California state

  • Ability to learn country-specific labor laws essential, existing contemporary knowledge of employment law preferred.

  • Experience of working on multiple assignments and prioritizing demands in a high-energy, fast paced environment is essential.

  • Strong integrity and ability to discreetly handle sensitive, confidential information is essential.

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and interact with all levels of the organization preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail, communication and follow-up skills required.

  • Experience of working in companies of comparable size and geographical complexity desirable.

  • Research and data analysis skills desirable.

Proficiency with MS Office is desirable, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
