Position Purpose:

At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center , the Senior Clinical Advisor (Assistant Manager) Registered Nurse RN provides patient care for Intensive Care Unit patients, including:

What you will do:

  • Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager assists in managing unit personnel and the nursing unit environment.

  • Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager will assist with hiring and terminating staff, evaluating and mentoring staff competency, and assuming budgetary responsibility.

  • The position requires promoting a healthcare culture that values growth and input from frontline staff and requires an empowered leader who facilitates the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Education : Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN degree preferred.

  • Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure is required.

  • Experience: 2 or more years of ICU, MSICU, or CICU nursing experience are required. 1 or more years of management/supervisory experience, such as charge nurse, are preferred.

  • BLS or CPR certification: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross will be accepted.

  • ACLS certification is required within three months of hire.

Position Highlights and Benefits :

Full-Time – 40 hours/week - Night Shift

  • The schedule offers flexibility, with options for either five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts. Candidates must be adaptable to work nights and potentially weekends. Hours are variable and adjustable, typically starting around 9:00 pm and concluding around 7:00 am for most shifts.
