Position Purpose:
At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center , the Senior Clinical Advisor (Assistant Manager) Registered Nurse RN provides patient care for Intensive Care Unit patients, including:
What you will do:
Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager assists in managing unit personnel and the nursing unit environment.
Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager will assist with hiring and terminating staff, evaluating and mentoring staff competency, and assuming budgetary responsibility.
The position requires promoting a healthcare culture that values growth and input from frontline staff and requires an empowered leader who facilitates the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.
Minimum Qualifications :
Education : Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN degree preferred.
Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure is required.
Experience: 2 or more years of ICU, MSICU, or CICU nursing experience are required. 1 or more years of management/supervisory experience, such as charge nurse, are preferred.
BLS or CPR certification: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross will be accepted.
ACLS certification is required within three months of hire.
Position Highlights and Benefits :
Full-Time – 40 hours/week - Night Shift
- The schedule offers flexibility, with options for either five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts. Candidates must be adaptable to work nights and potentially weekends. Hours are variable and adjustable, typically starting around 9:00 pm and concluding around 7:00 am for most shifts.
