Quality Technician -- Northern Industrial Manufacturing
Purpose:
The purpose of a Quality Technician at Northern Industrial is to work with production in ensuring the quality of our parts. This is done primarily by checking, measuring, recording, and assessing production and suspect parts.
Job Responsibilities:
-Measuring, and otherwise inspecting parts.
-Recording data manually, and using computer programs.
-Completing reports on different aspects of quality, and production functions.
-Receiving, and Quality inspections on incoming product.
Qualifications:
-Knowledge and experience in measuring equipment such as Calipers, and Micrometers strongly preferred.
-Understanding of computers and in programs like Word, Excel, and Office strongly preferred.
-A background in Production or Quality Control/Assurance is a plus.
-Fast learners, and detail oriented people encouraged to apply.
-Team players preferred as this is a job that requires open communication, and working toward a goal.
-Applicants with strong basics in the qualifications above will be provided on-the-job training.
Working conditions:
-Office and factory, Quality is located mostly in office work with rounds being done in the shop to collect parts for hourly checks, and to conduct receiving checks.
-Safety gear is required, such as safety glasses, ear plugs/hearing protection, gloves/hand protection, and steel toe boots. All of these can be provided, except the steel toed boots in which a $75 reimbursement is provided after an employee reaches eligibility.
-Lifting up to 50 lbs, and walking, often required in this position.
-40hr work week: 7am -- 3:30pm M-F, overtime occasionally: 5am -- 3:30pm M -- F and occasionally Saturday.
