Sprague is looking for a Desktop Support Associate III. You'll thrive in a dynamic atmosphere where continuous learning and development are paramount. You'll engage with various departments across the organization, honing your skills and expanding your expertise. Our associates deliver top-notch customer service to a diverse user base of over 800 individuals, assisting with technical troubleshooting, hardware and software procurement, and the setup of new systems and user accounts, among other duties. You'll be immersed in a tech environment, handling Microsoft Office 2019/O365, Windows 10/11, Apple iOS devices, and supporting applications and hardware deployed at our Terminal locations. We seek collaborative individuals who are eager to share their knowledge, work closely with their team, and embrace ongoing personal and professional growth within a corporate setting. This role is an on-call rotation for 24/7 coverage of after-hour, weekend, or holiday maintenance and support.

  • Deliver onsite and hybrid support at the Sprague Harrison office in Harrison, NY, and regional sites as necessary.
  • Utilize automation tools such as MDT and WDS for OS deployments, alongside PDQ Deploy for application deployment.
  • Employ PowerShell scripting for the creation/modification of AD user accounts and report generation.
  • Perform installation of computer hardware components (e.g., disk drives, RAM, monitors) in accordance with standards.
  • Configure target PC systems to support effective utilization of proprietary and commercial PC application packages.
  • Conduct necessary testing of installed hardware and software prior to delivery to end users.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of resolved incidents in our ticketing system, ServiceNow.
  • Collaborate within the IT Solution Center team to provide phone and system support to local and remote end users.
  • Offer first and second level support for computer hardware and software issues via telephone, remote assistance, or on-site maintenance.
  • Coordinate tasks and incident resolution with Network Support, Server Support, and other IT teams.
  • Engage vendor technical support as needed to resolve escalated issues.
  • Stay updated on computer technology, software products, and industry developments to advise management and end users.
  • Provide general assistance to end users in utilizing computer resources.
  • Undertake other assigned projects with expected flexibility, creativity, and professionalism.
  • Occasionally travel to Northeast regional locations to support additional Sprague facilities and projects.

Qualified candidates for this role will have the following:

  • A Bachelor's degree or comparable technical training in a related field, coupled with a minimum of 5 of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Recognized industry certification or related experience required:
    • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Windows 10
    • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Office platforms
  • Advanced Hands-on experience with Apple iOS devices
  • PowerShell or other scripting experience a plus
  • Experience with IT support ticketing systems and ITIL fundamentals - ServiceNow experience preferred (administration experience a plus)
  • Experience installing, configuring and supporting Windows OS, networked and local printers, and business applications
  • Ability to quickly, and efficiently, analyze technical issues and a proven ability to resolve these issues swiftly and accurately with minimum supervision
  • Excellent customer service abilities, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge and experience with customer service / ITIL practices
  • Ability to multi-task on individual projects with limited supervision, as well as collaborate in a team environment
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts including Ethernet, Routing, LAN and WAN Support

Pay is $33-$38 per hour, DOE.
