Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Compliance Investigator in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

The Bureau of Workers' Compensation is seeking a motivated Compliance Investigator who has the ability to work with considerable independence while examining complaints against employers, insurers, or medical providers not complying with the provisions or regulations of the Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Act or Workers' Compensation Judge decisions. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Workers' Compensation Compliance Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting investigations of alleged uninsured employers in the Commonwealth, including employers who have not responded to Bureau requests for coverage information to determine whether they have an obligation to ensure their workers' compensation liability. This position requires you to have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Workers' Compensation Act and regulations as you will be responding to inquiries and educating the public regarding their responsibilities as employers. Additional duties include, but may not be limited to: Negotiating settlement and repayment agreements with employers, their attorneys, the legal department, and members of management Conducting on-site evaluations of employers' compliance Reviewing Employers' Report of Injury for potential minor injuries sustained Preparing statistical reports

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Four years of clerical work in the review, research, and presentation of records, correspondence, and documents, including two years of public contact experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes two years of public contact experience.
