Transportation Engineer Intern - 2439

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities WBCM Highway What you'll be challenged to do:

TranSystems is looking for a part time/full time summer or fall intern to help with a variety of projects encompassing several different aspects of transportation planning and engineering.  Intern will be responsible for assisting project engineers and project managers with design and administrative tasks. * Assist staff with routine engineering tasks as assigned * Provide weekly status updates * Conduct field investigations and data collection * Assist with plan production * Assists in the preparation of various transportation engineering projects, including design and analysis. * Gathers engineering data from a variety of sources. * Identifies design criteria * Evaluates existing and proposed geometric conditions. * Participates in site visits, project investigations and project meetings. * Provides design efforts that adhere to quality and schedule requirements * Assists in preparing and reviewing engineering reports and exhibits * Assists in developing preliminary quantities and cost estimates

Qualifications What you bring to our firm: * Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering * Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.
