DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The primary duty of this role is to oversee and supervise Pennsylvania's extensive emergency management training and exercise program. This includes the crucial tasks of developing and executing the PEMA Qualification System, the Commonwealth Integrated Preparedness Plan, and the Emergency Management Certification Program. As the Emergency Management Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and supervising a team of professional staff within PEMA's Training and Exercise Division. Your main objective will be to implement comprehensive training and exercise strategies throughout the entire Commonwealth, ensuring preparedness for any emergency situation.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Schedule is dependent on activations or other needs of the operation. Free secure on-site parking Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time telework may be approved after the successful completion of a comprehensive on-site training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience as an Emergency Management Specialist (commonwealth title); or Three years of professional experience in the development, coordination, or promotion of emergency management programs such as disaster relief, public safety, flood mitigation and resiliency, and emergency management in government, industry, education, or the military; and a bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes two years of professional experience in the development, coordination, or promotion of emergency management programs such as disaster relief, public safety, flood mitigation and resiliency, and emergency management in government, industry, education, or the military. Special Requirement: This position requires possession of a valid Class C Driver's License. All positions require certification in the following courses from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Emergency Management Institute, within six months of hire: IS-100.C: Introduction to the Incident Command System IS-700.B: An Introduction to the National Incident Management System IS-800.D: National Response Framework, An Introduction IS-2200: Basic Emergency Operations Center Functions
