Job Description:

We are looking for a PostgreSQL developer who will be responsible for developing database code and work on software upgrades for PostgreSQL and related open source forks.

What your impact will be:

  • Work closely with the project teams to maintain the existing code base and implement and merge new features.

  • Review patches from other team members.

  • In general, improve the quality of the code base in your daily work.

  • Merge upstream changes into the code base of our forks.

  • Identify and document issues in the product.

What you will bring:

  • 3+ years working as a database developer, ideally working with PostgreSQL.

  • Expert programming skills in C.

  • Write regression tests, both for newly reported bugs and new features.

  • Knowledge of software development under Linux.

  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

What will give you an edge:

  • General PostgreSQL Knowledge.

  • Knowledge of Python.

  • Knowledge of distributed databases.

  • Experience with Linux, especially Red Hat or Ubuntu.

  • Knowledge in creating software packages.

  • Work with GitHub Actions workflows.

  • ETL fundamentals.

  • Experience with Product Support in an open source environment.
