DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Real Estate Specialist, you perform the administrative, monitoring, enforcement, and permitting functions required to manage the Outdoor Advertising and Junkyard Control programs. You ensure compliance with the standards of these programs through surveillance, file management, and official communications with sign owners and local municipal officials.

Additional duties include ensuring property management programs are consistent with departmental goals and objectives, tracking monthly illegal sign removal status, and preparing and submitting biannual reconciliation reports. You also prepare and submit all documentation and checks relating to the Outdoor Advertising Program and Junkyard Control Program to Central Office and to the Comptroller's Office, maintain a log of checks processed, and prepare evidence to testify for administrative hearings where outdoor advertising or junkyard control decisions and appeals are adjudicated. In addition, you collect and maintain the GPS coordinates for all permitted billboards.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework), part-time.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection.
