DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Executive Policy Manager 1, you will be responsible for revising, tracking and helping to establish policies and provide recommendations for consideration by the Governor's Policy Office and the department's Executive Office.  Specific duties include monitoring drug and alcohol policies at all levels of government that may impact the drug and alcohol field or the DDAP, and determining the critical policy issues that need to be considered or addressed by executive staff and the Governor's Policy Office.  You will further be responsible for communicating the policies of the department to local, state, and federal officials.

Within this role, you will also assist in the development of the State Plan to align with the department's policy priorities and with input from stakeholders.  Contribute to the budget development process by helping to draft, and ultimately review and approve the budget book program measures, program revision requests, department statements, and other budget-related narratives as requested.  We are looking for someone who possesses a comprehensive working knowledge of techniques used in drug and alcohol policy research, program analysis, and planning.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Executive Policy Specialist 2; or

Three years of policy analysis and planning experience; and a master's degree in policy analysis and planning, administration, or a closely related field; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
