DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Network Administrator 1, you will be assigned to the Security Operations Enterprise section, focusing on Delivery Centers where you will be performing administrative and advanced technical work directing security hardware and software infrastructure for Delivery Center and Enterprise security administration, planning, and design. All activities of this position are based on and support of the public policy objectives of the Governor's Policy Office as well as security and network policies of the Enterprise and Infrastructure and Operations Bureau in support of the Commonwealth. Work includes providing technical and administrative management support for the security operations solutions supporting firewall management, remote access, security incident response, and their associated infrastructures. You will have the opportunity to work with multiple Delivery Centers and the Enterprise to enable them to meet their business objectives while lowering the risk of misuse of information and denial of service.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will be required to report in-office 1 day a month and as needed to perform portions of the job functions. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Network Specialist 2, Telecommunications Specialist 2, Telecommunications Supervisor, or Radio Telecommunications Specialist 2; or Five years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance; or Three years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes two years of technical experience in network operation or network maintenance.
