As a Labor Law Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting audits and investigations to ensure the enforcement of Pennsylvania's 13 labor laws. Your duties will include travel to construction sites and business locations, maintaining detailed investigative notes, collecting physical evidence, and interviewing workers and business owners. These investigations into labor law claims and your audits of payroll records, timecards, and related materials will help you prepare for prosecution, conduct small claims cases, and testify in administrative hearings as well as civil and criminal court cases.

When you communicate with employers, employees, and supervisors about what is transpiring with an investigation, you will also have opportunities to educate contractors, organizations, and employees about the requirements of the laws and recent legal decisions affecting their application. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. This position is home headquartered and requires travel in Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Crawford, Erie, Greene, Fayette, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango, Westmoreland, and Washington counties. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of technical investigative or construction and trades experience and a bachelor's degree; or Two years of technical investigative or construction and trades experience and an associate's degree in a field related to investigative or construction and trades work; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements: You must live in or be willing to relocate to one of the counties of primary assignment - Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Crawford, Erie, Greene, Fayette, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango, Westmoreland, and Washington. You must be willing and able to travel to all of the counties listed above. You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

Bilingual proficiency, especially in Spanish and Vietnamese Experience in conducting investigations or working in construction and trades, business management, financial services, accounting, or conflict resolution An associate's degree or greater, in a field related to investigative work construction and trades, business management, financial services, accounting, or conflict resolution Experience enforcing labor standards or labor and employment laws Experience testifying at administrative or court hearings
