Summary/ Objective: The Insides Sales Representative plays an important role in supporting our goal of creating lasting value for those we serve by servicing our customer's needs and offering connected solutions. The position is responsible for offering our products and services to businesses or individuals throughout the construction, industrial, commercial, institutional, and government markets, both in-person and virtually. You will work closely with our sales and operations teams to deliver customer experiences that promote and support our products and services, while meeting customer expectations. The Inside Sales Representative promotes our culture, The SYD Way, and our core values to all those they serve. Essential Functions:

Provide information on products and services

Assist customers with product selection and application

Share information as it relates to the SYD credit policy, various delivery options, in-house services, and training events

Provide feedback on accurate product availability and delivery information

Manage bid opportunities via the bid follow-up process.

Responsible for oversight of products on bid and/or sales orders, including but not limited to purchasing from vendors and/or manufacturers, resolve customer problems, communicate lead times, ensure delivery of order, and process credits

Work directly with vendors to obtain special pricing, when applicable.

Grow sales and gross margin

Utilize vendor websites for product searches, pricing, availability and cut sheets.

Review and manage daily reports and queues to maintain accurate prioritization and necessary follow-up on bids, open orders, and credits

Manage all inbound and outbound communications in a professional and timely manner

Properly maintain daily schedule, e-mail, and voicemail to reflect current activities.

Work with Outside Sales to keep account pricing relevant and contact information up-to-date

Pursuit of continuing education related to Schaedler Yesco Distribution products, services and solutions. Competencies: * Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to provide pre-emptively timely and accurate communication to customers regarding orders, questions, and concerns.

Collaboration with vendors and other Schaedler Yesco Distribution departments, as needed, to meet the needs of the customer.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive and/or customer-related information.

Excellent interpersonal skills with good sales and negotiation tactics.

Ability to prioritize work based upon customer need(s).

Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software. Supervisor Responsibility

This position is not a supervisory role and does not have any direct reports. Work Environment This position operates primarily in an office setting but may require individuals to work directly with appropriate personnel in the Counter or Warehouse departments. This position requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, internet, telephones, and photocopiers. Mental Demands

Ability to make sound decisions that are based upon ensuring customer satisfaction, while in accordance with Schaedler Yesco Distribution guidelines and practices. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Ability to use a keyboard and type proficiently.

Safely traverse the warehouse floor when applicable.

U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required. Education and Experience:

Previous experience working in electrical sales or electrical distribution required.

Must have experience utilizing Microsoft Office products.
