DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position will be working within the Director's Office and be exposed to state park projects across the entire 124 state park system. Throughout your internship, you will be working alongside park staff on a variety of projects at state park sites throughout the state. This will provide you with hands-on experience in park operations, resource management, administration, and environmental education, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the Bureau of State Parks' mission and services.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment The employment period will occur between the dates of 5/1/24 - 8/30/24. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: Interns will have the opportunity to work from home (telework), part-time on a schedule that aligns with their supervisor so they are in the office on the same days.  No full time telework will be approved.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection.  If you are unable to telework, you must report to the office. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements: Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree or advanced degree program. Freshman year completed. Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher). Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university.

Additional Requirements: This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license. You must be able to perform essential job functions. Preferred Qualifications (not required): Students in the following majors: Recreation Management Environmental Studies Environmental Science
