Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Fiscal Technician in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

As a Fiscal Technician, you will play a key role involving the processing of all invoices in the Financial Transformation Workflow to ensure timely payments are made to vendors. The primary responsibility of this role is to review and process non-PO invoices making any necessary corrections, rejections, and approvals. You will monitor invoice processing procedures, verify all paperwork for accuracy, and review invoices for correct coding and vendor numbers. As a Fiscal Technician, you will reconcile problem invoices that have been rejected and keep the supervising analyst informed of processing problems, delays or other situations that effect the payment of invoices and the budget of the Department of Revenue. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. Work hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch, or 8:am to 4pm with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, with the exception of in-office training and Commonwealth Policy 1 day a month in office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Fiscal Assistant; or Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an Associate degree in accounting or business administration; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements: You must abide by the prohibition guidelines and refrain from gambling in Pennsylvania casinos, or any casino outside of Pennsylvania with the same owners. Legal Requirements: This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment. Under Pub 1075, acceptance of a conditional offer of employment will require submission to and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to: a fingerprint-based federal records check; a PA State Police clearance; a check of local law enforcement agencies where you have lived, worked, and/or attended school within the last five (5) years; and a citizenship/residency verification.
