DESCRIPTION OF WORK As part of your responsibilities, you will be tasked with creating training programs and materials for inspection, compliance, enforcement, AIMS, and eFACTS. These programs will support the regional air quality compliance and enforcement program. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying any issues or deficiencies in procedural matters related to inspections and discussing them with the Operations Chief. It will also be your duty to maintain and review compliance records. When necessary, you will conduct on-site inspections to gather evidence for enforcement cases or as required by the workload. You will then prepare a case summary and send it to legal counsel through the Operations Chief, along with a draft summary citation for review. If a hearing is requested, you will organize the evidence, obtain and prepare witnesses, and act as the prosecutor for the Commonwealth in the District Justice's court. It is crucial to have knowledge and familiarity with legal arguments and courtroom proceedings, as the defendant is typically represented by an attorney.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per pay period, after training period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Occasional travel to field sites required as needed. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of professional experience as a Sanitarian, Air Quality Specialist, Solid Waste Specialist, or Water Quality Specialist; or Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training which affords the applicant the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

Special Requirement: This position requires the possession of a valid Class C license as issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
