This function anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs in alignment with business strategies.
Benefits designs, implements and administers benefits plans, ensuring that the total benefits package is competitive with the market, meets company objectives, and is compliant. This job family manages relationships and coordinates with third party vendors for benefits plan development and administration, and collaborates with the Internal Communications family to educate employees and promote enrollment.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of U.S. Benefits to lead and oversee the design, implementation, and management of employee benefit programs. This role will be responsible for ensuring the organization’s U.S. benefit offerings are competitive, compliant with regulations, and aligned with overall business objectives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in health and wellness benefits, retirement plans, Managed Service Organizations plans, and other employee services while providing strong leadership in a fast-paced environment.
This person will also have responsibility for overseeing and managing all aspects of the Navista MSO employee benefits plan, including designing, implementing, and administering health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, and communicating benefit details to employees while maintaining cost-effectiveness for participating employers.

U.S. Benefits
Innovate:
Identify opportunities to enhance our programs to deliver a modern, compelling, and integrated benefits experiences for U.S. employees.
Conduct periodic reviews of the benefits portfolio and benchmarking against industry peers to ensure plans remain competitive and aligned with evolving workforce trends.
Leverage internal and external data to design, evolve, and sunset programs to ensure we have competitive, market-aligned benefits programs that attract, retain, and engage top talent.
Continuously evaluate the competitiveness and effectiveness of existing benefits plans, making recommendations for improvements, and adjustments as necessary.
Financial Acumen:
Analyze benefits utilization and claims data to identify opportunities for cost savings or plan enhancements that optimize the return on investment while still providing a compelling, and comprehensive benefits package.
Prepare and oversee annual benefits budgets, and forecasts to maintain fiscal responsibility.
Processes and Governance:
Oversee the end-to-end benefits administration process, including enrollment, eligibility, and claims resolution, to deliver a positive employee experience.
Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry trends to proactively adapt the benefits strategy and ensure ongoing compliance.
Ensure all benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA).
Leverage digital solutions to streamline internal process to ensure the team is focused on the highest priority work.
Mergers & Acquisitions
Lead benefit program design, support, and implementation for acquisitions, and divestitures.
Leadership & Collaboration:
Lead and inspire a high-performing benefits team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Partner with Human Resources, Finance, and Legal teams to align benefits strategies with broader organizational goals, and ensure cohesive decision-making.
Provide recommendations on proposed changes to benefits programs to HR senior leadership based on both internal and external analysis.
Benefits for MSO
Benefit Administration:
Manage the annual open enrollment process, including communication strategies and employee education.
Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations accurately and timely.
Monitor claims activity and address any issues with insurance providers.
Maintain accurate employee benefits records and documentation.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
Stay updated on all applicable federal and state regulations related to health, welfare, retirement, including ERISA compliance requirements.
Ensure the participating employers’ benefits plan operates in accordance with all legal guidelines and reporting standards.
Conduct regular compliance audits and reviews to identify potential risks.
Communication and Stakeholder Management:
Develop and execute clear communication strategies to inform employees about their benefits package and any changes.
Collaborate with participating employers to address their specific benefit needs and concerns.
Conduct regular meetings with key stakeholders to discuss benefit plan performance and future strategies.
Financial Management:
Monitor and manage the other employers’ benefit budget, including forecasting costs and identifying potential cost-saving measures.
Analyze claims data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Prepare financial reports for the participating employers.
Qualifications
Bachelors and Advanced Degree in related field, or equivalent work experience preferred
12+ years experience in related field preferred
Prior supervisory experience including 2+ years people management experience preferred
CBP and CEBS certification preferred

Anticipated salary range: $132,700 - $204,000
