General Motors Cross Brand Merchandising Manager in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Job Description

This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of Warren, MI , you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.

The Cross Brand Merchandising Manager will be responsible for developing and executing merchandising strategies for GM, Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick & GMC branded products. This role requires a blend of project management expertise, eCommerce skills, and a solid understanding of digital marketing and product promotion. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize product development, enhance online sales performance, and build branded partnerships to elevate brands and brand fandom.

  • Project Management:

  • Lead merchandising initiatives/priorities for multiple brands

  • Collaborate with brand merchandise leads, brand marketing, and vendors to coordinate product launches and promotional campaigns.

  • Manage relationships with partners to ensure quality and strategy execution. Manage licensing contracts and revenue model

  • eCommerce Strategy:

  • Develop and implement effective eCommerce merchandising strategies that drive sales growth and improve customer experience.

  • Develop strategic plans for in store retail partnerships

  • Analyze online sales data and consumer behavior to refine product assortments and pricing strategies.

  • Digital Experience Enhancement:

  • Optimize the online user journey by improving product presentation, including descriptions, images, and categorization.

  • Develop website for consolidated merchandise partner retailing.

  • Utilize A/B testing and customer feedback to enhance digital touchpoints and drive conversion rates.

  • Develop marketing plans support revenue growth

  • Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with marketing to create compelling promotional content and campaigns across digital and social media

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for merchandising ecomm inquiries and updates across departments.

  • Communicate/manage vendor and hold accountable for brand quality expectations

  • Performance Monitoring:

  • Track and report on merchandising performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor strategies to inform merchandising practices.

  • People Leader:

  • Responsible for leading a team that manages royalties, merchandising, vehicle accessories, Brand Compliance, contracts and sales performance.

  • Develop team members to enhance skillset

Additional Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferred in marketing, business or other related, Masters preferred.

  • Minimum of 7-10+ years of experience in advertising/marketing, merchandising, project management, or eCommerce.

  • Proven performance with Ecommerce strategy is a must

  • Proven experience in managing large-scale, multi-market advertising campaigns

  • Strong understanding of both digital and ecommerce

  • Prior leadership experience, effective communicator, and strong project management skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders

  • Experience in cross-cultural communication and a strong understanding of global market nuances.

  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

  • Experience leading a team

Compensation:

  • The expected base compensation for this role is: ( $116,100-$181,600). Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.

  • Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
