A generous PTO package. 401k plan with 3.5% match Summary/ Objective: The Corporate Pricing Manager's primary responsibility will be to develop and implement the company's pricing practices and strategies to ensure maximum profitability. They will build and lead a high-performing pricing department, guiding team members on daily tasks along guiding them along a path of continuous improvement. This will include mastery of current systems as well as the ability to evaluate additional technology for data-based decision-making in the pricing department. They will have the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with multiple departments to implement the pricing strategies effectively. Essential Functions: Understand, develop, and implement the overall pricing strategy of the business collaboratively with sales management Develop yearly goals with measurable KPIs, using those to measure success and report to management Direct and educate the pricing team to ensure that all pricing matrices are loaded correctly and determine acceptable levels of profitability Train new team members and sales team on pricing processes/procedures Deliver yearly performance reviews to the team members and provide coaching as necessary for their development Develop theories and standards for custom pricing analysis to discover additional margin-generating opportunities Develop, implement, and improve processes to ensure that our collection percentage of SPA rebates is above industry standard Understand the competitive landscape of our specific trading areas which includes gathering, organizing, and acting on pricing feedback on time Understand, maintain, and investigate new settings in the Eclipse Sell Matrix for implementation Understand, maintain, and investigate all settings in any existing/new 3rd party pricing software Understand, maintain. and investigate certain cost settings in our Product Information Management (PIM) software Develop, implement, and maintain pricing tools for the sales team Follow and understand industry trends to guide pricing strategy recommendations. Have a general understanding of our industry's products and services to be able to rationalize pricing around them Competencies: The ability to collaborate effectively with members of the sales management team to ensure seamless rollout of pricing strategies. Strong analytical and computer skills. MS Excel and BI tool experience are mandatory. Strategic problem-solving mentality to solve complex pricing problems. Develop training and standards documents and present seminars for the pricing team, sales team, and management team Strong financial acumen to understand financial metrics and align pricing strategies to financial goals The ability to communicate complex pricing strategies in a simple manner across multiple levels of the organization The ability to adapt quickly and respond to changes in market conditions, customer feedback, or vendor pricing policy. Ethical judgment to adhere to, support, and promote SYD's values Effective negotiation with suppliers, management, and sales teams Advise your manager if you do not understand the work they have assigned to you, or if the assignment does not fit with your knowledge of the circumstances, current skills, or available time and resources. U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status is required. Eclipse ERP experience preferred. Excel certification is preferred. BI Tool certification preferred. Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree is strongly preferred. Prior experience in pricing management is strongly preferred. Prior experience with the techniques and tools relevant to data analysis including knowledge of relational databases is preferred. Prior experience in a wholesale distribution environment is preferred.
