Lefever Concrete is a locally owned and operated residential concrete company specializing in pools and patios. We are seeking a full-time Concrete Finisher near Harrisburg, PA. If you have experience in concrete finishing, this could be a great fit.

Must Haves:

• Previous experience as a concrete finisher/form carpenter, ideally in a commercial setting
• Strong skills with hand and power tools, including: tape measure, hand trowel, straight edge, nail gun
• Ability to work OT as needed, during normal construction shift hours (daylight)
• Ability to stand/be on feet for several hours per day, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 75 lbs bags of concrete as needed
• Comfortability to ladders, wearing all proper PPE and safety equipment while using  

This is a commercial general contractor, historically specializing in commercial concrete finishing. They have grown into a large GC that now operates several types of projects, but still recognized as a leader in flat concrete. They are in need of skilled, experienced finishers who have concrete finishing skills, as well as form carpentry skills.

Job Duties Include:  

• Grading, setup, pouring, and finishing concrete surfaces including but not limited to concrete floors, sidewalks, curbs, and stairs
• Grades to proper elevations using skid steers, shovels, and rakes checking heights using lasers and string lines.
• Construct wooden forms
• Positions forms that hold concrete to the correct depth and ensure they are properly aligned.
• Installs expansion joints, rebar, and wire mesh as called for in job specifications.
• Sets poly and tape as required in job specifications.
• Keeps track of site conditions, ground temperature, air temperature, and humidity levels and makes adjustments to mix designs to achieve proper set times.
• Spreads and levels concrete using rakes, shovels, hand or power trowels, hand or power screeds, and floats.
• Installs anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures as called for in job specifications into poured concrete before it hardens.
• Finishes surfaces to produce the final product as called for in job specifications using brooms, hand tools, power trowels, and riding trowels.
