The Department of Education is seeking a Business Analyst 1 with exceptional work ethic and attention to detail to complete our team. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Business Analyst, you will serve as the liaison between the Bureau of Career and Technical Education (BCTE), as well as internal and external IT staff that are responsible for system development and maintenance of the electronic approval system used by schools to gain access to state and federal CTE funds. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Office of Administration, General Delivery Center to develop and implement business processes and assist subject matter experts with implementation of the business processes, review technical specifications of the business process, review technical specifications, develop test scenarios, perform system testing and participate in troubleshooting. You will utilize your experience to make technology-based decisions and recommendations as well as provide technology leadership to all individuals in BCTE, Data Services, and LEA's (local educational agency) who work with the CATSV2 system and the FRCPP (Future Ready Comprehensive Planning) CATS (Career and Technical Education Information System ) portal. This portal is used by schools to submit requests for department approval.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You must report in-office on Wednesday each week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
