The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is looking for a qualified individual to lead the Bureau of Investigations (BOI) as part of our senior management team. The BOI is responsible for conducting investigations related to DEP's rules and regulations, personal liability, financial ability, and environmental incidents. DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this position, you will serve as both a professional investigator and the manager of day-to-day operations for BOI. Your main responsibilities will include supervising the work of six investigators and one administrative support staff member, establishing and implementing policies and procedures for conducting interviews and gathering evidence, coordinating with other agencies and law enforcement, providing training to DEP staff, and tracking criminal referrals. Additionally, you may be required to travel and testify in legal proceedings.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Four years of progressively responsible work in the field of investigations leading to litigation or prosecution, including two years of legal experience in developing and presenting evidence and one year in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
