DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will be responsible for preparing work papers, permanent files, and reports. Additionally, you will create audit programs and testing procedures following professional standards set by accounting bodies. You will collaborate closely with a professional superior, the Audit Specialist Supervisor, who will assign tasks, provide guidance, and review your work for quality and compliance. Your duties will involve analyzing financial data, assessing management practices, and making recommendations to enhance operations and ensure adherence to laws and regulations, ultimately improving the Department of Transportation's efficiency and effectiveness.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. This position requires travel and overtime as needed. This position will be headquartered in a District or County office in Clearfield or a contiguous county closest to the selected candidate's home that meets business needs and has available space. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Financial Programs Trainee; or Successful completion of the Commonwealth's Accounting Intern Program within the previous eighteen (18) months; or A Bachelor's Degree including or supplemented by eighteen (18) credits in accounting, and auditing; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training which included the required eighteen (18) credits in accounting and auditing. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.
