DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Applications Developer 2, you will serve as a member of a project team responsible for system analysis and design, as well as providing advanced application development support for enhancements to Enterprise Content Services (ECS).  Project development consists of independent work as well as team-oriented functions, depending on the size and complexity of tasks.  Technical resources within this group provide enterprise-wide services in the areas of document management services to PennDOT, Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), and Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA).  Assignments require assessment, analysis, design, testing, debugging, and documentation duties associated with complex data processing systems.  Your responsibilities will include utilizing EMC Captiva, IBM FileNet, Microsoft C#.NET/ASP.NET and Java to supplement COTS technologies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, with the exception of reporting to the office once per month.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Applications Developer 1 or Computer Programmer 3; or Two years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or Four years of information technology experience that includes two years of experience in applications development or applications maintenance; or A bachelor's degree in any information technology field. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
