Koniag Data Solutions, Koniag Government Services is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer in support of occupational and ambulatory health care services for US Customs and Border Protection Advanced Training Center located at 440 Koonce Road, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425.

Work Hours:

Services are to be provided between the hours of M-F 0830-1700.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Participates in all required training and competency assessments according to staffing contract and policies and SOPS to maintain ability to work in assigned clinic.

  • Provides services directly to clients according to scope of practice for state license/certification, policy and SOP which may include the following:

  • Preventing, evaluating, and treating musculoskeletal injuries and illnesses.

  • Provide preventive, therapeutic, emergency, and rehabilitative care.

  • Apply protective or injury-preventive devices, such as tape, bandages, and braces.

  • Provide emergency care for acute physical injuries.

  • Develop and carry out rehabilitation programs for injured clients.

  • Plan and implement comprehensive programs to prevent injury and illness among clients.

  • Perform administrative tasks, such as keeping records and writing reports on injuries and treatment programs.

  • Provides emergency response, first aid and emergency care according to BLS/AED protocol, policies, and SOPs.

Education and Related Experience:

  • Current CPR/BLS is required.

  • Must be a graduate from a school accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).

  • Must have passed the national Board of Certification (BOC) exam and earn the credential of certified athletic trainer.

  • Must be licensed in West Virginia.

  • Must have at least two years of experience.

Requirements:

  • Pre-employment background check mandatory

  • You must have the ability to pass a Public Trust

  • Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Maintain the level of security clearance needed.

  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the duties (e.g., CPR performance, responding immediately to an emergency, carrying a thirty (30) pound Emergency Go-Bag, etc.) without accommodation as well as free from any communicable disease(s).

  • Public Trust required.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
