Job Title: Software Quality Engineer
Location: Harlow (Hybrid with 3 days a week on site)
Summary of Role:
Raytheon UK are looking for a S oftware Quality Engineer for the Advanced Products Business Area. This role line-reports to the Quality Engineer Team Lead but will also work directly with the Raytheon Software Engineering Department .
Main Duties:
Ensure the Quality Management System processes and process control . documentation on Software (and/or Firmware) are compliant with regulatory requirements, objectives and/or contracts.
Writing and reviewing Software Quality Plans and reports .
Conducting Internal Software Quality audit activities (process & product) and accurately recording & monitoring Non-Conformances with RCCA.
Ensure that Software Certification Requirements a re managed and adhered to within both Software Development & production test environments .
Independent verification & validation o f the software development lifecycle. Quality review at the requirements, design, code & test phases .
Review o f Software Design Documents, requirements analysis and Software Requirements Specifications (SRSs) .
Control and monitoring of Bought in Software and its implications .
Approval of any software tool evaluations .
Quality support to program reviews or Management Reviews.
Assist Business Leads with c ustomer liaison on any External Customer Software audits or meetings.
Concession management & Stakeholder Management .
Candidate Requirements:
Developing and maintaining sound, productive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders . Quality Authority on all our Software Certification needs.
Experience of problem solving and resolution. Exceptional attention to detail .
Relevant years professional experience in quality assurance .
Communicating with technical SMEs , internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels within the business.
Essential Knowledge/Experience
Knowledge of Quality Assurance, Internal Auditing and RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) methodologies and practise .
B.S or M.S in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent qualification or technical experience .
ISO Auditor Trained for ISO9001 and or AS9100 .
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience of working within a Quality Assurance team supporting one or more programs
Excellent verbal and written communication skills . Flexible and positive attitude. Team Player.
Desirable:
Software Configuration Management , FCA/PCA
Experience of Git, GitHub, Bit Bucket
Knowledge of DAOS, DEF CON, RESA, AQAPs
A love for automation
Knowledge and experience of software standards : RTCA DO-178C or ED-109A or Def Stan 00-55 .
Knowledge of Software coding and test using C+, C++ , JIRA
The work will be based out of our Harlow Site with possible national travel requirements.
