BIG HORN COUNTY BUILDING AND GROUNDS MAINTENANCE WORKER in HARDIN, Montana
Big Horn County is seeking a Building and Grounds Maintenance Worker. DUTIES: Enforce leases for the Big Horn Apartments. Manage vacancies, delinquencies, damages, violations, disputes, or emergencies. Ensure tenants abide by the rules about parking, noise, parties, visitors, pets, etc. Help people who become locked out of their apartment. Identify and analyze problems, evaluate the options and consequences, and choose and implement the best solutions. Call the maintenance workers for plumbing and electric repairs, etc. Job also involves cleaning and maintaining common areas, dusting and polishing furniture, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and sanitizing doors (doorways), bathrooms, hallways and kitchen area. Empty trash, replace liners, replenish supplies if needed. Collect any garbage outside and around entrance doors/around the building and parking lot. Coordinate, schedule events and activities for the Fairgrounds and Big Horn Community Room. Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to deal with various challenges and situations that may arise in the apartment property. Able to make sound and timely decisions, based on the available data, resources, and policies. Able to communicate clearly and confidently. Must possess basic math skills. Good organizational skills, time management, communication and demonstrated customer service skills, neat appearance. PRE-EMPLOYMENT TESTING: The successful applicant must undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. SALARY: $17.50 per hour, plus benefits HOURS: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. May be required to work outside of traditional business hours to perform duties on weekends, before 8:00 a.m. or after 5:00 p.m. Big Horn County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
