FlashCo Engineering Plant Manager in Hanover Township, Pennsylvania
FlashCo Manufacturing Inc. (Wilkes Barre, PA) seeks to hire an Engineering Plant Manager. The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field, and five (5) years of management experience working with financial activities and continuous quality improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment. The candidate must also have a demonstrated proficiency of Lean manufacturing principles and related certifications.
* *The specific job responsibilities of the position include: (i) accountable for plant operations in production, maintenance, quality, and shipping and receiving, continuous improvement as an innovator of positive change that impacts safety, profitability, inventory turns, on-time delivery, lead-time, and quality (effectiveness is measured primarily through predetermined metrics), and capital asset maintenance; (ii) establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards and implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, labor force, wages, and salaries; (iii) manage workflow to assist team in balancing priorities, providing backup support if needed and otherwise ensuring that all work is accomplished with an appropriate sense of urgency; (iv) develop lean roadmap for assigned areas, determine benefits and resources required, set priorities for improvement, with accountability for execution; (v) recommend courses of action for equipment acquisition and disposal; (vi) implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs; (vii) incorporate shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel; (viii) help plan/maintain facility layout promoting safety, security, and productivity; and (ix) promote an environment of empowerment, respect, and trust while holding team members accountable for their actions.
