We, the Conti Machinery Purchasing Team in Hanover, are looking for a Strategic Purchaser for Professional Services (m/f/diverse). In close collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders you are responsible to strategically manage the category of Services for Conti Machinery (e.g. Engineering services, shopfloor services) and sourcing of new suppliers according to our business needs.

In detail your tasks will be:

• Ensure the timely procurement of all requirements in compliance with the Group's purchasing guidelines and the general purchasing principles (price / quality / delivery time)

• Development and execution of long term category strategy based on customer needs and superior strategies

• Continuous improvement of sourcing conditions & processes of relevant category

• Holistic supplier management for all operational and all strategic challenges

• Analysis of the supplier market for services at Conti Machinery

• Supplier evaluation

• Selection and development of supplier

• Optimization of the supply chain of Conti Machinery

• Contract Management

• Planning, creation and negotiation of contracts

• Creation of contract templates

• Support and guidance of local partners for all purchasing topics related to relevant Category

• Academic Degree in Economics, Engineering or similar

• Advanced experience in (operational) Purchasing, ideally in strategic Purchasing

• Negotiation skills and assertiveness

• Knowledge of contract law and dealing with suppliers

• Excellent communication and intercultural skills

• Experience in project management

• Fluent German and English language skills (written and spoken)

• Proficient in using common IT tools and SAP

• Profound MS Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, OneNote)

• Strong problem-solving skills necessary

• Willingness to travel
