Schaefer Brothers Inc Agricultural Equipment Operator in Hancock, Minnesota

Need 2 full time, temporary, seasonal Agricultural Equipment Operator to work in Hancock, MN. From: 02/01/2025 to 11/30/2025 Work: 45 hrs./week, Mon. - Fri. 8 hrs./day, Sat. 5 hrs./day. 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. JOB DESCRIPTION: Family farm in west central Minnesota that grow sugar beets, corn and kidney beans and clean kidney beans and ship to end users. Half of the crops are watered with center pivot irrigators. Spring planting season starts in mid-April and usually runs until the end of May, and harvest begins the end of August and ends in November. Employees will need to haul crops from field to farm and water to spray, operating a quad trac tractor for tillage, operating edible kidney bean equipment, operating and servicing center pivot irrigators, fork lifting, and operating grain cart. Complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. Employees will assist with all aspects of growing these crops, and complete general farm duties as assigned. All required work tools, supplies and equipment will be provided by the employer at no cost. Crops: kidney beans, sugar beets and corn. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) Months experience. Job requires a regular driver's license within 30 days of hire. No HS Diploma/GED required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
