Job Overview

Directly supervise approximately 30 production employees assembling sensor products. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the production team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Ensures on-time delivery and other company KPIs are continuously met. Drives continuous improvement activities.

  • Review, plan, and coordinate the assignment of production employees to meet on-time delivery of high quality products to our customers.

  • Work closely with management and other production support teams, communicate status of operations via tiered processes, request assistance, and escalate issues when necessary.

  • Define goals, develop standard work, improve technologies/processes, and determine best course of action to meet KPIs and resolve issues.

  • Determine if labor resources are sufficient for successfully meeting production requirements and communicate needs to management. Interview and hire employees. Develop over-time schedules as necessary to achieve on-time delivery. Assure resources are properly trained and utilized to achieve maximum capacity.

  • Utilize company resources (employees, facility, equipment, materials, training) to full potential to provide the company with its maximum ROI.

  • Motivate and develop team to reach and/or exceed set objectives and company values. Define clear employee performance expectations and conduct regular one-on-one meetings and reviews of employee performance. Set developmental goals with employees and reward/discipline as necessary. Efficiently address complaints and resolve problems.

  • Provide a safe and productive work environment, including housekeeping, for all team members that continuously align with EH&S regulations and specifications.

  • Develop a proficient understanding of applicable drawings, BOM, WIs, SOPs, and inspection criteria needed to successfully manufacture quality product.

  • Process non-conforming material information and work with direct team to improve processes and prevent future deviations from quality standards.

  • Drive continuous improvement activities and utilize lean manufacturing tools. Lead a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Other duties as assigned.

What your background should look like:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience in a supervisory position.

  • Previous experience with quality systems and manufacturing processes.

  • Proven ability to lead/drive change using lean manufacturing techniques.

  • Proven ability to troubleshoot issues and drive solutions/corrective action.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbal and written.

  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership skills.

  • Strong aptitude in Microsoft Office—Outlook, Excel, and Word. Ability to quickly learn internal software tools.

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $70,160-$105,240 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
