Currently seeking a Direct Support Professional for our top tier company in Hampton, VA . This is a full-time, direct-hire role and as a Direct Support Professional, you will be responsible for assisting with the physical care, guidance and supervision of intellectually disabled individuals in the day support, residential setting and out in the community. Job Highlights:
Schedule either 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm or 11pm to 7am
Monday through Friday & some weekends

Requirements:
Active and up to date driver's license
High school diploma or GED
DMV record and social security card
Must pass criminal background investigation
2 years of documented experience working with persons with intellectual disabilities, Alzheimer's, Dementia, Special Ed, etc. preferred
Duties:
Responsible for assisting with the physical care, guidance and supervision of Intellectually Disabled individuals in the Day support, Residential setting and out in the Community.
Performs activities and duties to help individuals develop acceptable habits and attitudes; helps the individuals meet the outcomes of any service or behavioral plan; insures daily needs and health and safety of the individual are met; assist individuals with daily hygiene and personal living skills; complete data collection in accord with person centered plan; responds quickly and appropriately to unpredictable behavior and circumstances. Other duties as required. If you are a caregiver, this is the position for you.
Our Community Engagement and Community Coaching program gives individuals the opportunity to participate in community activities like training, volunteering, and other activities to build their independence and social skills.
Pay Details: $14.00 to $15.00 per hour
