Overview
We are seeking a Certified Dietary Manager to join our team and contribute to our commitment to health and wellness within our facilities and client organizations. The Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) is responsible for overseeing the dietary services in a healthcare, long-term care, or similar setting. This role ensures that patients and residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals that meet their specific dietary needs while adhering to all safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards. The CDM manages dietary staff, develops menus, monitors food preparation, and collaborates with healthcare teams to support overall patient care..
Pay: $80,000.00- $90,000.00/yr DOE

401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. Key Responsibilities:
Dietary Operations Management:
Plan, organize, and supervise daily dietary operations to ensure the efficient delivery of meals and services.
Develop and implement menus that meet nutritional guidelines, dietary restrictions, and resident preferences.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including those related to food safety and sanitation.
Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and manage dietary staff, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
Schedule and oversee staff to ensure adequate coverage and smooth operations.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any staffing issues.
Patient/Resident Care:
Work closely with healthcare teams to assess and accommodate dietary needs based on medical conditions and preferences.
Ensure meals meet individual nutritional requirements and enhance patient or resident satisfaction.
Address feedback from residents, patients, or families to continuously improve dietary services.
Inventory and Budget Management:
Manage food inventory, order supplies, and control food costs while minimizing waste.
Prepare and monitor the dietary department budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Negotiate with vendors for the best pricing and quality of food and supplies.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Conduct regular audits of dietary processes to ensure adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
Stay updated on industry best practices and implement changes as needed to maintain high-quality services.
Develop and maintain dietary policies and procedures in line with organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Certification: Current Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential required.
Experience: 2-5 years of experience in dietary management, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, menu planning, and nutritional standards.
Leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and mentor staff.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in nutrition or culinary arts preferred.
