Begin/report to work: 296 West Montauk Highway Hampton Bays, Daily transportation provided between report to work address and additional worksites. Work throughout the following: Nassau, Queens, Suffolk, NA and NY-Newark-Jersey City, NY-NJ-PA.
Work Hours: Mon-Fri 7:30am-3:30pm, 40 hours/week at $22.53-28.00/hour. Possible OT at $33.80-42.00 hour. To include lunch break, Possible weekend/holiday work.
Duties: Position/move tools, parts, equipment, and supplies for assembly or installation to and from work stations and other areas. Hold or supply tools, parts, equipment, and supplies for other workers.Adjust or connect wiring, piping, tubing and other parts. Adjust, clean, lubricate, maintain, and repair tools, equipment, machines and assist more skilled workers with similar tasks. Clean and maintain work areas & other related General Laborers activities as per SOC/OES 49-9098 (onetonline.org). Work is performed outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate (+l-), possible downtime and/or overtime.
Terms: Employer will comply with all applicable Federal, State and local employment-related laws and regulations such as wages, breaks, hours worked, and overtime hours (overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. lf overtime is worked, wage is paid at 1.5x regular rate of pay per hour worked beyond 40 hours each week.).
Requirements: Must be 18 due to insurance. Must show proof of legal authority to work in the U.S. Drug/Alcohol/Tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 50lbs. No minimum education requirement. On-the-job training available. All applicants must be able, willing and qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Must have valid driver's license.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Friday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.
3/4s guarantee: the worker is guaranteed employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least 3/4s of the workday of each 12 week-period.
Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.88/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts. Any worker who voluntarily abandons employment is not entitled to payment for outbound transportation or the full 3/4s Guarantee described.
