Aerotek is hiring for CNC Machinists in the Hampstead, MD area

Job Description

Set up and operate CNC machines including mills, lathes, lasers, drill press, and press brake. Produce high-precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Ensure that machining processes are optimized for quality and efficiency. Work with aerospace and defense clients requiring tight tolerances ranging from +/-0.005 in to +/-0.001 in. Primarily work with 3-axis high-speed linear mills, 4-axis vertical mills, and 5-axis mills. Utilize Mastercam and Unigraphic software for programming using G-code and M-code.

Work Environment

The machine shop is split between two buildings, one 80,000 sq ft and the other a brand new 90,000 sq ft facility. The company employs about 200 people and continues to grow. The environment is climate-controlled and very clean for a machine shop. The primary clients are in the Aerospace and Defense sectors, including Raytheon, Northrop Grumman, Sea Can, and the Navy Army. The shop has machined parts for significant projects such as the James Webb and Hubble telescopes, as well as other Smithsonian projects. The new building operates with flexible shifts, typically open from 5am to 5pm for the 1st shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
