We are looking for stockers, deli clerks, and cashiers for our Freshies locations in Orrington, Milford, Bangor, Mt. Desert, Somesville, Presque Isle, Caribou, and Ellsworth.

Store Responsibilities

  • Complies with all legal and regulatory requirements including but not limited: the sale of alcohol and tobacco, lottery, petroleum products, food safety, etc.

{=html} <!-- --> - Performs all aspect of cashiering to include but limited to: handling cash, making changes, processing credit cards, selling lottery, handling pre-paids, cashing checks, processing EBT, etc.

  • Performs looping, cleaning and stocking and other daily duties per tasks list.

  • Promptly notified management of customer service, security, safety or inventory issues.

  • Performs all duties in compliance to the Cash Handling SOPs and other company expectations.

Deli Responsibilities

  • Follows proper procedures of reporting to supervisor(s) relating to customer complaints concerning service, food preparation and quality.

  • Follows Good Food Handling Practices and Preparation in accordance with Freshies guidelines.

  • Understands how to accepts deliveries to include; verifying order to invoice, and checking product quality. Ensures product handling meets Freshies standards to include: Date Coding, Labeling, Rotating, Handling and Storage.

  • Understands how to track information via handheld or paper processing to include: spoilage (Freshies) waste (C-Store), temperature monitoring, processing daily production tracking , etc.

  • Consistently performs to all food safety, cleaning and sanitation procedures as outlined in Freshies Food Manual to include the use of; temperature charts, thermometers, gloves, etc.

  • Follows Freshies standards for overall Deli appearance, cleanliness and organization to include, but not limited to; personal uniform standards, equipment cleanliness and proper execution of cleaning schedules.

  • Uses only RHF approved products and items for food preparation, cleaning and safety.

  • Handles and prepares all food products in accordance to Freshies specifications as outlined in Freshies Food Manual.

  • Informs Freshies Deli Manager or other member of management of any issues or deviations.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weath r conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
