Your responsibilities Summary: The Team Lead provides support to the Production Supervisor in the day to day running and operation of the business. This includes the overseeing and motivating of your team, and the supervision of the output of production to meet thyssenkruppp Bilstein standards. This position is a leadership role and requires the ability to run a team both safely and effectively while still meeting customer and company needs/standards. The Team Lead leads by example and supports an environment and culture within thyssenkrupp Bilstein where the customer and safety is firmly at the center of everything that we do. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same. Supervises up to 25 full time and temporary employees, and ensures they are all properly trained. Assists with investigation of root cause and implement countermeasures for all QIR's. Ensures all machines are operational and ready for production. In the event of employee absence (i.e. vacation) coordinates manpower to ensure needs are met. Identifies discrepant materials/components both in writing and verbally to supervisor. Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard times. Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to assemblers, and assigns duties. In the event of an abnormal event, takes immediate action, including fixing / repairing and reporting the problem to supervisor. Makes sure new temporary and full-time employees are trained appropriately and follow safety standards. Reviews daily production numbers, quality problems, equipment failure downtime and ensure reporting into the electronic production reporting system MES. Directs and checks Line Leader's daily job and take corrective action if necessary. Reduces any potential occupational hazards by following safety strategies. Attends a two-day offsite Front Line Leadership Training, to be held locally at Definity University. As part of the training, must successfully demonstrate in the 90 days immediately following the class the use of all nine competencies taught as well as complete and report out the results of a mutually selected project in area of responsibility. Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard times. Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Your profile Qualifications & Experience: Successful tenure and experience as a Line Lead within thyssenkrupp Bilstein. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in situations associated with high volumes of work and/or customer demands. This would include providing direction, coaching, and effective feedback to team members. Possesses a stable work history, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and a strong personal desire to work safely and maintain a safe working environment. Position is required
