Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fire alarm systems in various commercial and industrial settings. The Fire Alarm Technician will ensure that all systems are compliant with relevant codes and standards while providing exceptional service to our clients. Key Responsibilities: Installation and Maintenance: Install, service, and maintain fire alarm systems including control panels, devices, and related components. Perform regular inspections and testing to ensure systems are working optimally and comply with safety regulations. Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and system issues in a timely manner. Provide detailed reports on issues, actions taken, and recommendations for future improvements. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all systems meet local, state, and national codes and standards (e.g., NFPA 72). Maintain a high awareness of safety standards and enforce them on all job sites. Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. Deliver technical support and user training as necessary to ensure clients are informed and systems are used correctly. Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and guide junior technicians, providing training and professional development opportunities. Lead teams on large-scale projects, ensuring project timelines and budgets are met. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Prepare detailed reports for management and clients, summarizing project status, work performed, and recommendations. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in electronics or a related field preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience working with fire alarm systems. Extensive knowledge of fire alarm system components, codes, and standards (e.g., NFPA 72, NEC). Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various sites. NICET Level III or IV certification in Fire Alarm Systems is highly desirable.
