Under Colgate's Third Century Plan, Career Services adopted a four-year career development model. By carefully harnessing Colgate's assets and providing extraordinary opportunities, this model aims for all students to have access to build core, practical skills and gain competitive experiences that prepare them for a lifetime of success. Now, more than 80% of students are engaged in intentional, developmental, and individualized journeys of self discovery and experiential education in partnership with the Career Services team. These efforts consistently result in more than 98% of graduates securing employment, graduate school admission, or a competitive fellowship within six months of graduation.
Career Services benefits from strong institutional support, reinforced by a clear commitment from Dr. McLoughlin, VP and Dean of the College. The energy on campus is palpable as four Residential Commons have been developed over the last several years, and the division is supported with an integrated wellness model, ample student involvement opportunities, and robust student services.
