The position is a role within the Budget & Planning team for CEW Hub, covering Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The Budget & Planning team is responsible for commercial performance management, reporting and forecasts for the region.
Main Responsibilities:
Fixed Overhead costs
Manage fixed overhead costs for 2 countries
Business Partnering with commercial teams to prepare annual budget and latest estimates for local overhead costs
Ownership of month-end review of local overheads, explain variances to forecast, helping to ensure completeness and accuracy
Maintain the cost centre budget in planning systems (CsiP) and cost centre reporting
Perform monthly accounting for local overhead costs and prepare associated accruals
Liaise with the local Financial Services and Shared Services teams in Poland and India to share knowledge, answer queries and provide guidance as needed
Reporting & Other
Supports budget and forecast of the total P&L
Prepares the balance sheet budget and updated forecasts
Monitors transfer pricing and make ad hoc recommendations for changes
Reports annual budgets and monthly forecasts to Division & Corporate
Manage green dot (“recycling expense”) process from end to end including vendor communication and Audit support, liaising with Supply Chain
Ad hoc project involvement
Internal Controls & Compliance
Ensures monthly financial reporting is in compliance with Colgate Financial Policies
Performs SOX testing - ensuring compliance with internal control requirements and documenting test results
Prepares and explains audit material to the internal and external auditors
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in accounting / economics / finance
3-5 years’ experience in a finance role/general accounting
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite
Experience in SAP FI and BW
Fluent in English and German

Very structured, organised, and able to prioritise and manage several tasks to meet short deadlines
Works with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
There is no expected travel for this role
