Insight Global Ancillary Project Manager in Halifax, Nova Scotia

Job Description

A large healthcare clients PMO group is looking for a Integrated Ancillary Project Manager to support the implementation of various lab and diagnostic imaging technologies for the integrated OPOR (One Patient, One Record) EMR solution. This program includes the implementation of a new clinical information system that will replace or connect more than 80 systems currently used by healthcare professionals to record and view patient information. This resource will report into the OPOR Program Manager - helping lead and manage the projects involving lab and diagnostic imaging technologies such as CSI, Blood Bank Transfusions and more. The Ancillary Project Manager will be responsible for providing directive and supportive leadership to ensure project goals are achieved on time.

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves:

 - Strong technical background with experience in lab and diagnostic imaging technologies as a Project Manager

 - Working experience with managing complex healthcare IT projects, particularly those involving Cerner or similar EMR systems.

 - Is familiar working with different lab and diagnostic imaging technologies such as:

   Anatomic Pathology

   Blood Bank Transfusion

   CAP SNOMED INTERNATIONAL (III) for

   Pathology

   CareAware iBus for Laboratory Devices

   Cassette Labeler Interface (Uni-dir) w/o NiceLabel

   Cerner Lab Sequence

   General Laboratory

   Image Distribution

   Image Management for Pathology (AP)

   Laboratory Imaging

   Mammography Management

   PathNet Advanced Barcoding and Tracking

  with AP Timeline

   Point of Care Specimen Collections--

   Tethered

   Radiology Management

   Slide Labeler Interface (Uni-dir) w/ NiceLabel

 - Ability to be solutions oriented, along with providing directive and supportive leadership to ensure timelines and project goals are met
