Eaton Corporation Manager Manufacturing Engineering in Haina, Dominican Republic

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Manager Manufacturing Engineering.

What you’ll do:

  • Responsible to coordinate and supervise

  • Manage Process Engineering area to attain manufacturing excellence.

  • Plan, direct and coordinate actions to support production processes to assure attainment of operations goals.

  • Provide direction through direct involvement in order to implement manufacturing of new processes and products.

  • Lead and Follow up continuous improvement activities in the operation.

  • Plan, develop and implement goals

  • Develop strategies for optimization of the production layouts

  • Prepare and review capital appropriations request, track capital expenditures and audit projects’ benefits realization.

  • Support Cost –Out initiatives for the operation

  • Perform specific functions to this position as described in the Quality Manual.

  • Oversight Feeders (Printing, Welding, Mod Center) Technical support (Setups,Tool&Die makers, coordinators) to assure proper support to production processes.

  • Provide support to Welding value streams through coordination of Setup and maintenance plans.

  • Apply Lean Manufacturing initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness of manufacturing operations and achieve operational excellence.

  • Support cross-functional activities to implement the Eaton Continuous Improvement system (ECIS) in facility base upon Lean assessment.

  • Utilize ECIS tools/facilitate ECSI events to drive cost reductions and improve working capital performance and productivity.

  • Apply ECSI tools and Facilitates events to improve process capability and eliminate defects.

  • Works directly with employees at all levels in the plant to implement improvements.

  • Maintain and promote internal and external customer focus for all facility employees. Improve manufacturing performance through the utilization, Training, and deployment of Eaton Business System tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree of Industrial, Electric, Electromechanical Engineer (or similar)

  • Master, specialization or similar degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Project Management, administration or other science (desirable).

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Engineering, Quality, OPEX or Manufacturing function. Experience as Manager.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

  • Project Management (PMP) and Six Sigma Certifications (preferred)

  • PC knowledge: Auto Cad, Solid Works, and Microsoft Office.
