Nestle Senior Cost Accounting Analyst in Hager City, Wisconsin

POSITION SUMMARY

Rooted in a rich railroad heritage, Hager City is one of our two factories in Wisconsin—located across the Mississippi River from Red Wing, Minnesota and about 250 miles from our location in Jefferson. Over 100 dedicated associates come together to produce wet and dry coatings for our pet food brands nationwide, making this location truly special. As a Senior Cost Accounting Analyst, you will develop and maintain Materials and Financial accounting and inventory systems, procedures, controls, audits, forecasting, and analysis to ensure that Factory and Company Leadership are provided with timely and accurate information and safeguard Company assets. You will ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, integrity in our systems through a program of self-audits, and a continual program of training and development of our team members.

  • Assist in the coordination and preparation of the annual operating budget

  • Provide monthly cost projections for the Factory Leadership Team and Corporate

  • Provide analysis and support on material and financial results to aid the leadership team in achieving budgets and loss targets

  • Ensure material and financial reporting systems are accurate, enabling leadership to make better informed decisions to drive the business, including inventory accounting, accounts payable, payroll, and fixed assets

  • Assist in identifying losses, setting up projects to reduce losses, and building competencies factory wide to drive a zero-loss mindset

  • Maintain the data integrity of packing, ingredients and finished production information ensuring compliance to physical inventory procedures, traceability is maintained

  • Coordinate and assist in the development and cross training of accounting personnel

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field

  • 2+ years of experience in cost accounting, general accounting, and/or inventory control in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment

The approximate pay range for this position is $74,000 - $102,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
