Description We are offering an opportunity for a meticulous Bookkeeper to join our team located in Haddam, Connecticut. The job function will primarily consist of processing and maintaining accurate account records, conducting bank reconciliations, and ensuring efficient internal billing for clients across different software platforms. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity within the telecom provider industry.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for account reconciliation and maintaining accurate financial records
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations
• Conduct routine bank reconciliations and address any discrepancies
• Utilize Peachtree Sage for managing and processing financial data
• Prioritize the reconciliation of bank accounts, particularly addressing any backlogs
• Oversee internal billing for clients, ensuring accuracy and preventing double billing
• Apply payments to billing accurately and promptly
• Manage and record journal entries as needed
• Use various skills such as data entry, Microsoft Excel, and QuickBooks in daily tasks
• Ensure all bookkeeping tasks are performed in compliance with industry standards. Requirements • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping role.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation.
• Proficient in handling accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Experience in performing bank reconciliations.
• Strong bookkeeping skills.
• Capable of performing data entry tasks efficiently.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks and record-keeping.
• Experience using QuickBooks for accounting and financial tasks.
• Familiarity with billing procedures and practices.
• Knowledge and experience using Peachtree Sage software.
• Ability to prepare and maintain journal entries as part of financial record-keeping.
